Walk with God in Prayer

Prayer Allows You to Walk with God

You were designed to walk with God. You still can.

“and they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…” –Genesis 3:8

Learn God’s Word So You’re in-the-Know

Reading the Word of God—the words God has spoken in the past—helps us know who God is. Once we know how he has spoken in the past, it’s easier to hear God speak to us today. This guide gives you the easiest overview of the Bible possible so that you can get started reading right away.

Work

Work In Your Creative Purpose

You were created in the image of a creative God. That means you were born to bring good things into the world. And not just anything—the things you love to do. What you love to do is not an accident—it’s your special gift. Consider what it means to be entrusted with the care of the earth, and what part your gifts play in that.

“Then God said, “Let us make man (humanity) in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

–Genesis 1:26-28

God Rested

We can trust him for provision as we pause in our own striving and take a break.

“If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. –Isaiah 58: 13, 14
